Letter to Kyle Pharmacy re: Kyle Institute

Duncan Macpherson set up his pharmacy in Kyle of Lochalsh in 1912 and supplied not only medicines and other chemist related items such as toothbrushes and shampoos, but also tourist information, postcards and photographic materials. Letters, postcards and informal notes were used to request goods, as well as Post Office Telegraphs. The dangers of contracting the highly infectious viral disease measles is evident from this letter asking Macpherson if he could disinfect the Kyle Institute, situated in the village. His reply is not recorded
