Letter to Kyle Pharmacy re: Cascara, Page 1

Duncan Macpherson set up his pharmacy in Kyle of Lochalsh in 1912 and supplied not only medicines and other chemist related items such as toothbrushes and shampoos, but also tourist information, postcards and photographic materials. Letters, postcards and informal notes were used to request goods, as well as Post Office Telegraphs.

In this request for a bottle of the laxative Cascara, the lady from Kintail sounds rather stern with her instructions to "Now please sir mind and send it" and "Now kindly send it at once", but Macpherson would no doubt have been happy to oblige
