A plan submitted in 1929 by R. Carruthers Ballantyne and Taylor, Architects, of 28 Queensgate, Inverness, to the Dean of Guild, whose approval was required for new buildings. The plan shows 'The Playhouse', which the Highland Cinema Company proposed building in Academy Street, Inverness. The Playhouse was destroyed in a fire in 1972. The balcony and the front elevation are seen here.
