This thank you card was given to Julia Mackenzie who was interviewed by a pupil of Central Primary School, Inverness, as part of a War Detectives project in 2005.

Julia was born on Eilean Tighe, a small island off the north end of the island of Raasay, and served in the Auxiliary Territorial Service (ATS) during World War 2. The card bears the name of Shiela Goffins, 'Shiela' or 'Shiela' being the Gaelic equivalent of 'Julia', and 'Goffin' being the surname of Julia's first husband
