These notes on radio and telegraphy are attached to the inside cover of a Soldier's Service and Pay Book from the World War II era. Some examples of the code to be used are given.

Example message: 'SUNRAY directs that all ranks must learn R/T & be conversant with all phrases and Code Signs.'

'SUNRAY' is the code name for the Commander; 'SEAGULL' the code name for the Adjutant. Other code names are also given.
