This book was the property of Adam Anderson Gordon of Golspie. Pages 8 and 9 record details of his service. An entry dated the 13th November 1916 shows him to have been wounded while serving abroad with the 5th Seaforth Highlanders. A later entry, dated the 22nd September 1918, states that he contracted pleurisy while serving with the 7th Seaforth Highlanders.
