B' e Sìm Friseal, 17mh MacShimidh (1911-1995), an 25mh Ceann Cinnidh air na Frisealaich. Choisinn e cliù mar Chommando Breatannach anns an Dàrna Cogadh. Chaidh a dhroch leòn anns an ionnsaigh air Normandaidh ann an 1944, ach dh'fhàs e na b' fheàrr. Anns na bliadhnaichean an dèidh a' chogaidh, chuir e seachad mòran ùine ann am poileataigs, agus air oighreachdan an teaghlaich mun Mhanachainn.

Anns a' chòmhradh seo ri Sam Marshall bho Moray Firth Radio, tha MacShimidh ag ainmeachadh cuid dhe na h-obraichean a nì e mar cheann-cinnidh.

'Chiefs at home are lucky if they still live in the homes of their fathers. Too many, sadly, have had to go and work in the south. And I was lucky, and I've got four sons to divide the property between. Clan Chief can certainly set an example and make people welcome who've come back from overseas, which I've tried to do, and you can go and see your own clanspeople in different parts of the world, which I do every year, and their clan societies which flourish all over Canada and the United States. Every so often a lot of Frasers come from California, every fourth year we have a large influx of Frasers, but people come from all over the world; they come and see me and we have a dram, talk, I answer letters'
