'This is a photograph which I don't think anybody yet has ever recognized, even with well-informed Inverness audiences. It is the Chapel of Ease. Now this Chapel of Ease was - The Old High Church decided that they required an extension charge, for two reasons; there were a lot of poorer people who really weren't doing very much to sustain the Old High Church and they felt that this would be quite a good idea to do, kill two birds with one stone. So in Margaret's Street, down from the car park, the bus station, there was this Chapel of Ease, built in 1792. It was there for some time and it became a parish church in 1834. But it became a Free Church in 1843 after the Disruption and became a Church of Scotland in 1929 because it's merged with the East Church'
