'Voices From Their Past - Messages For Your Future' a chlàradh ann an 2005. Tha Màiri is Dòmhnall MacCoinnich gan ceasnachadh le cloinn o Bhunsgoil Ulapul.

Neach-ceasnachaidh: What's your favourite war memory?

Màiri: Oh, I don't know. The end of the war I think. We had a great time here when the war ended: big bonfire up on the hill; the concert in the village hall; the Ullapool Mixed Voice Choir. And then we went from there, up - once it got dark - up to the hill to march to the bonfire and there was a naval ship out on the loch and they were sending off fireworks. Oh, it was quite a night. I would say that was my favourite memory.

Going back to the shops and food, nothing was prepacked. Butter came in great big bulk boxes - you had to scoop it out. Sugar came in hundredweight bags and you had to weigh it out. Flour, oatmeal, barley, rice, lentils, even soap flakes came in bulk. I can remember a young man and I going to put this soap flakes into bags to weigh it out - I don't know how many ounces were going in the bag - and we both started to sneeze and we couldn't stop. And we had to go out onto the street, at the pier head, and do it out there.
