Tha Dùn Mòr air eilean beag ann an loch bheag ann an Uibhist a Deas. Gheibhear thuige air cabhsair mu 46m (150 troigh) a dh'fhaid. Tha an dùn cearslach, cha mhòr, le ballachan 3.4m (11 throigh) a thighead. Tha an doras neònach, oir tha a' chuid as leathat aig an taobh a-muigh. Tha an doras a' coimhead air falbh on chabhsair cuideachd. Eadar an dùn is balla eile tha tobhtaichean de bhothain chruinn-fhada.

Tha Dùn Bàn air eilean beag (crann-tarsainn mu 15m (50 troigh)) ann an Loch Hornaraigh, Griomsaigh. Chaidh seòrsa de chabhsair a thogail thuige le bhith a' tilgeil chlachan dhan loch is a' cur chlachan-àtha air uachdar nan clachan seo.

"Dun Ban is unique in its construction , and may be called a fortified 'Picts-house' - using that term in a technical sense - and may be described as an agglomeration of beehive cells imbedded in a circular tower. The foundation is very uneven, and there has been no attempt to level it. The peaked rock rises and protrudes in the central area of the dun, and slopes in on one of the chambers at a steep gradient. The entrance passageway is opposite the causeway, and was no doubt roofed with flags."

Chaidh an lann is an t-iasad-bhriathar a thoirt o 'On the Duns of the Outer Hebrides' le F.W.L.Thomas is air fhoillseachadh ann an 'Archaeologia Scotica or Transactions of the Society of Antiquaries of Scotland', leab. V (1890)
