Travel Through Our Memories 8 - Campbeltown by George

Bho chionn ghoirid ghabh buidheann de Luchd-taisteil òg pàirt ann am pròiseact anns an do chuimhnich iad air na h-àitean a bha cudromach dhaibh agus air na fèin-fhiosrachaidhean gun choimeas aca air an rathad. An seo, tha George a' sgrìobhadh mu Cheann Loch Chille Chiarain:

My Special Place.

A long time ago I was working with my father in Campbeltown and out of curiosity I asked why the ferry to Ireland was never in service. He told me that it had only been used for one season. My father also told me you would row to Ireland on a day with calm waters. After we were finished working he took me to the shore to a point where only water separated the countries.

The view was breathtaking and if you looked closely you could see the land in the distance.
