Ann am foillseachadh bho 1875 aig Teàrlach Friseal-Mac anTòisich, 'Invernessiana: Contributions Toward a History of the Town and Parish of Inverness, from 1160 to 1599' (dg 120), tha an sgrìobhainn air eadar-theangachadh agus air aithris on Laidinn thùsail mar seo:

[Airson beag-fhaclair de chuid de na briathran air an cleachdadh ann an sgrìobhainnean bhuirgh Inbhir Nis, feuch an lean sibh an ceangal faisg air bonn na duilleige seo.]

'On the 20th May 1451, Andrew Reid, Burgess of Inverness, whose name appears in so many deeds, and who had filled the offices of Provost and Commissary of Inverness, with consent of his spouse, Marjory Grant, presents a discreet man, Lord Thomas de Tayn, to the perpetual chaplainry of the altar of St Catherine, within the Parish Church of Inverness, and humbly entreats John, Bishop of Moray, to admit the presentee to foresaid presentation by delivery to him of his ring, and that he command the rural dean to induct and invest the presentee in corporal and real possession of said chaplainry, with the pretinents. Given under his seal, at Inverness, on the day on which he made his will, viz., 20th day of May 1451.'
