San sgrìobhainn seo leis a' cheann-là 8mh Iuchar 1467, tha Uilleam Greumach a' reic gu am Morair Iain Genour, Neach-caibeil Altar an Naoimh Mìcheil, Eaglais Paraiste Inbhir Nis, pìos fearainn air mhàl bliadhnail dà thasdan, bho thalamh san t-sràid leis an ainm Geata an Ear.

Tha an dealbh a' sealltainn beulaibh na sgrìobhainn.

Ann am foillseachadh bho 1875 aig Teàrlach Friseal-Mac anTòisich, 'Invernessiana: Contributions Toward a History of the Town and Parish of Inverness, from 1160 to 1599' (dg 147), tha an sgrìobhainn air eadar-theangachadh 's air ath-aithris on Laidinn thùsail mar seo:

[Airson beag-fhaclair de chuid de na briathran air an cleachdadh ann an sgrìobhainnean bhuirgh Inbhir Nis, feuch an lean sibh an ceangal faisg air bonn na duilleige seo.]

'William Graym, son of Andrew Graym, late burgess of Inverness, sells to the discreet man Lord John Genour, Chaplain of the Altar of St Michael the Archangel lying within the parish Church of said burgh for the perpetual use and advantage of said Chaplaincy, 2s of annual rent of one particate of land lyning in said burgh, in the street which is called the Estgate, at the south between the land of John Duff, carpenter, at the east on the one side, and the land of Robert Henryson at the west on the other, extending in front and backwards as the other particates of said street extend, to be had and held, etc. "In testimony of which thing, since I have no seal of my own at present I have with instance procured the seal of the discreet man Hugh Clark, one of the bailies, who gave sasine of said annual rent as the manner is to said Chaplain, and caused it to be appended to this my charter. At said burgh 8th July 1467." The witnesses are Alexander Waus, Gilbert Vaus, Maurice Donald, John Smith, Walter and Adam Johnsons, burgesses of said burgh with divers others.'
