Tourism
INTRODUCTION
Tourism is one of Scotland's biggest industries. Its stunning and varied scenery set off by the ever-changing light draws visitors from all parts of the globe. Its abundant fauna and flora attract naturalists from far and wide. Golfers, many internationally famous, come to enjoy the experience of playing in Scotland, the 'home of golf'. Scotland's long history is borne witness to by its many castles and ancient monuments, which many tourists visit every year. And then there are the misty isles, the traditional music, the food, the Whisky Trail and much more all adding to the whole tourist experience.
And to think that most of that is found in the Highlands and Islands.
