Was there a Home Guard in Nairn?

There was a Home Guard in Nairn, there was a Home Guard here in Cawdor and there was a Home Guard in Croy. There was a Home Guard in every village really. If you go into the Nairn Museum you'll see all that. There's a big display on just now, for the next month - a lot of photos. My father was in the Home Guard. I mean, well, they were Dad's Army, to put it mildly. Wooden guns and what not, you know, for amusement. They'd good laughs, but they took it seriously as well in case they were ever needed. But Aberdeen was bombed, Peterhead was bombed, and Wick, but that's the nearest it ever came to us.
