Dunachton, past and present: episodes from the history of the Mackintoshes. Inverness, 1866.

A history of the barony of Dunachton in Badenoch, owned by the Mackintosh family for four hundred years. Its author, Charles Fraser-Mackintosh, was born near Inverness in 1828 and became its Member of Parliament in 1874. He had an extensive collection of antiquarian books which is now held at Inverness Library. Many of the books featured on Am Baile are from his collection
