This view shows Main St., in Kyle of Lochalsh, looking down the road towards the jetty, with Skye in the background. The Kyle Hotel seen on the centre left of the photograph, is an enlarged building based on the old Kyle Inn which existed long before the railway reached Kyle in 1897. Across the road in the small white building is Macgregor's Tweed shop and Tea rooms
