The shop at ground level (now boarded up) used to trade as 'George MacLeod, Fishmonger and Poulterer'. One of the boys standing in front of the shop is holding a 'gird' (hoop), part of a 'gird and cleek' set, a toy popular with children in the late 19th and early 20th centuries IDENTIFIER: GB1796_1999_116_072
