Dalcross House at the corner of Queensgate and Church Street, Inverness. The house dates from 1700 - the date can be seen above the window on the far right. The shop at ground level (now boarded up) used to trade as 'George MacLeod, Fishmonger and Poulterer'. One of the boys standing in front of the shop is holding a 'gird' (hoop), part of a 'gird and cleek' set, a toy popular with children in the late 19th and early 20th centuries
