This postcard shows the village of Scourie. It lies in West Sutherland, at the head of Scourie Bay, five miles west of Laxford Bridge. Today, Scourie is a popular base for walkers and anglers. It is renowned for palm trees, growing in the gardens of Scourie House, a result of the warming effects of the Gulf Stream
