PERIOD: 1900s
CONTRIBUTOR: Ullapool Museum
COLLECTION NAME: Ullapool Museum Collection

A studio portrait of six men, thought to be from Coigach, who had gone out to Montana to work as cowboys or shepherds. Unfortunately they are unidentified.

It was not uncommon for people from the Achiltibuie/Coigach area to go to work in the northern and mid-western states of the USA, probably encouraged by the relatively good rates of pay available.
