'Passing Places - The Real Outer Hebrides' is a feature-length digital video documentary commissioned by Taigh Chearsabhagh Arts Centre, North Uist. Filmed throughout 2000, from Barra to the Butt of Lewis, by over 100 people from the Western Isles.

John MacAulay, a traditional boatbuilder, explains some of the processes of his craft and tells of his hopes for the future
