This is an aerial view of Stornoway Airport, on the Island of Lewis, taken in 1968.

It was first opened as a military airfield in 1937 and retained an RAF presence until 1998. The airport is owned and operated by Highlands and Islands Airports and, at the time of writing, there are scheduled services to Edinburgh, Glasgow, Inverness and Benbecula.
