Inverness Harbour from Shore Street. To the right of the photograph is the boat called the 'Flora' and to the left, horses and carts can be seen with goods being loaded and unloaded. Despite the coming of the railways to the Highlands and the faster supply of goods by rail, Inverness was still dependent on sea-traffic for heavier supplies, such as timber.
