The great Cuillin mountain range rises high above Loch Scavaig on the west coast of the Isle of Skye. The loch, known for sudden, violent storms, has long been a great tourist attraction, with the unpredictable weather only adding to the atmosphere. This photograph, taken on a typical overcast day shows low cloud on Gars-bheinn, 910m, in the foreground, and Sgurr Dubh Mor, 944m, centre back
