Harbour Street, Plockton

Plockton was a planned village created by Sir Hugh Innes to provide homes for some of his cleared tenants. The Lochalsh Estate was bought by Sir Alexander Matheson in the 1850s and Duncraig Castle built overlooking the bay. On the opposite side of the bay are the buildings, making up Harbour St. in Plockton, which curves along the shore.
