With the great Cuillin range behind, Loch Scavaig on the Isle of Skye is known for sudden and violent squalls. The boat trip from Elgol across Loch Scavaig to Loch Coruisk and the base of the Cuillin has long been hugely popular with tourists. The scenery is simply spectacular, and the often 'dreich' weather only adds to the atmosphere. On the right is Sgurr na Stri 497m, and on the left is Sgurr nan Eag 924m
