Scottish Amateur Golf Championship at Nairn, 1954. Nairn golf club was founded in 1887 and later extended by Archie Simpson, James Braid and 'Old' Tom Morris. ('Old' Tom and his son, 'Young' Tom went on to become the only father and son to hold successive Open titles.)
The Links at Nairn has hosted many major amateur and professional events and is regularly chosen for national championships, the most recent being the Walker Cup in 1999
