The rear view of LMS 14283 on a freight train approaching Kyle in April 1926.
14283 was a member of the Highland Railway's class of 4-4-0 tender engines known as 'Skye Bogies'. They were built at the company's own Lochgorm Works in Inverness and were intended to work primarily on the Dingwall and Skye line. It was completed in November 1897 and originally numbered HR 6. It was renumbered 33 in February 1899 and continued in service until being withdrawn in August 1929.
