LMS 17952 on a mixed train at an unidentified location. It is on a stretch of double track.
17952 (formerly HR 77) was a member of the Highland Railway's class of 4-6-0 locomotives known as the 'Superheated Goods'. These were essentially an updated version of the famous 'Big Goods' class of 1894. It was built by Hawthorn Leslie in Newcastle upon Tyne in 1918. It was withdrawn from service in October 1946.
