The Cobbler, the more common name for Ben Arthur, stands at a height of 884m (2899ft). Three miles west of Arrochar and above Loch Long it is just one of the mountains that from the Arrochar Alps. Although not the highest of the Arrochar Alps it is certainly one of the most interesting climbs. The distinctive rocky summit is said to resemble a cobbler bending over his work.
