This wooden panel, one of two, hangs in Inverness Town House, on the staircase. The figure '86'appears on the reverse with the Scottish Royal Shield. On the front it bears the Coat of Arms of the United Kingdom of the time. 'C.R' is said to stand for Charles II although he died in 1685. At the bottom is a primitive painting of a dromedary and an elephant, which also appear in the Coat of Arms of the Burgh of Inverness.
